Grew in Japan after World War II- Organization of the sick and poor 
Brought to America in 1960's 

Growth in New Orleans:
Grew in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina
Most people come to SGI because they either see the sign or friends bring them
SGI does some outreach to the city

Every member receives a Gohonzon map when they join SGI
"Nam Myoho Renge Kyo is in center of Gohonzon map
On the sides are different states in your life like anger, sadness or happiness 
Compared to a mirror- Brings out highest life condition
